What’s a Therapy Dog?   A Therapy Dog is a dog licensed to go to with hospitals,  nursing facilities alongside other associations.   Dogs promote healing,  increase psychological well being and enhance the lives of those having therapy.   A dog needs to be friendly and sociable with people as well as some dogs.   While visiting,  A Therapy Dog should know basic obedience commands and be.   Can my dog and I prepare becoming a Therapy Dog team during the Misty Pines Pet Company Training Program?   We offer several ways for you or your dog work towards to understand and pass the Remedy Dog International Test.

We’re here to assist you or your dog achieve your goals.   Have an Orientation followed by group coaching courses.   This is the recommended choice as our course syllabus prepares handlers and dogs to attain their Therapy Dog International certificate.   Attend a Personal Dog Training Lesson,  coupled with private coaching lessons or group coaching courses,  which concentrates on coaching you as the handler along with particular behaviors of your dog.   Daycare Training concentrates on training behaviors that are specific.   Requirements for the test:  Dogs should wear a fitted collars made of cloth leather or chain.

Misty Pines provides the TDI and CGC evaluation and prep courses several times annually.   Remedy Dog International Overview Founded in 1976 in NJ,  by Elaine Smith, Remedy Dogs International,  Inc is a volunteer,  nonprofit organization devoted to the regulating,  testing as well as registration of therapy dogs as well as their volunteer managers for the aim of visiting nursing facilities,  hospitals,  other institutions and anyplace else that could benefit from therapy dog visits.  TDI registers mixed breeds as well as purebreds alike.   Most dogs are tested and assessed by a Certified TDI Evaluator.
